  • Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ Stage 2, MEDIUM FLOW (Ages 3-6 months)

Adiri™ understands that breastfeeding is a gift for both mother and child. But for many families, bottle feeding is necessary as a supplement or an alternative choice to breastfeeding. Adiri™ found a way to bring the alternative closer to nature than ever before by simulating mother’s breast.

ADVANCED DESIGN: Winner of the 2008 Medical Design Execellence Award and the Red Dot Design Award. The graceful design of the Breastbottle® Nurser holds 8 fluid ounces and naturally soothes baby while feeding. The high quality materials are warm to a child’s cheek, like a breast, when filled with warm milk. A patented nipple design helps alleviate nipple confusion for breastfeeding babies. Shaped like a breast, the nipples encourage the same type of open-mouthed latching that is required for breastfeeding. This makes bottle feeding and breastfeeding more easily interchangeable.

The Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ is designed to reduce air ingestion, which can cause a baby to experience infant distress and colic. The unique Petal™ vent system in the bottle’s twist-on cap lets air flow slowly into the bottle as the baby drinks, preventing the nipple from collapsing. Typically, when a baby drinks from a standard bottle, the liquid ingested by the baby is replaced by air. When standard nipples collapse, they make it difficult for a baby to suck out the remaining liquid; causing the baby to suck harder and potentially swallow the air inside the bottle. This results in gas or painful bubbles.

SAFE MATERIALS: The Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ is 100% polycarbonate free and bisphenol-A free. Its sleek cover protects the bottle from getting dirty and keeps the nipple from leaking during transport. Adiri™ bottles are dishwasher safe and can also be boiled or sterilized using a basic sterilizer.

SIMPLE TO USE: The Easy Fill Twist and Feed™ system prevents lost parts and assembly hassle and offers a unique co-molded nipple and body. These bottles were engineered so that a parent or caregiver can quickly prepare a bottle, even with a hungry infant under one arm.

BREASTFEEDING: Select the slower flow for babies who are solely breastfeeding. The slow flow bottle reduces the chance of baby transitioning from breast to bottle because baby will have to work harder to get the milk, much like breastfeeding.

WEANING: When weaning baby off the breast, a faster flow is recommended. Begin with Stage 2 and transition to Stage 3.

TODDLERS: When formula feeding a toddler, the Stage 3 bottle is recommended for its fast flow.

How can I heat milk in the Adiri™ Natural Nurser™?

Milk can be warmed by holding the filled bottle under running hot water. It should not be submerged in water with milk in the bottle as the water pressure can unseat the valve and cause milk to leak.

Is the Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ made with polycarbonate?

No. Adiri™ bottles are 100% BPA and polycarbonate-free. All materials used in the bottle meet FDA requirements and none contain any bisphenol-A (polycarbonate component), phthalate plasticizers or vinyl chloride.

How often do I need to replace the Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ bottles due to wear and tear?

With proper care and cleaning, the nipple should last longer than the 2-3 month average. As with all nipples, if you notice any tears in the nipple material, immediately discontinue using the bottle.

How can I clean the Adiri™ Natural Nurser™?

Adiri™ bottles may be used in a standard steam sterilizer, microwave, and in the top rack of the dishwasher. The bottles can also be boiled. The Natural Nurser™ should not be sterilized in temperatures over 212 F degrees, e.g., a hospital autoclave.

Where is the Adiri™ Natural Nurser™ manufactured?

Adiri™ manufacturers in Taiwan through a U.S. manufacturing representative. Adiri™ bottles only use FDA-approved materials and have been tested in Taiwan and in the U.S. for quality. Be assured that the manufacturer is extremely conscientious and responsive through every step of the tooling and manufacturing process.

The bottle is leaking, what should I do?

Here are some tips to minimize leakage.

    Filling Process:

    1. Make sure all parts of the bottle (cover, Petal vent, Twist on Cap and bottle) are dry. The components fit together best when they start off dry.
    2. Push the bottle cover over the bottle as far as it will go, making sure the tip of the nipple is aligned with the nub inside the cover such that the nipple tip touches the touches the bottom of the cover. This seals the nipple holes while you pour liquid into the upside down bottle.
    3. After filling the bottle, screw the Twist On Cap clockwise tightly onto the bottle. A tight seal regulates the flow of liquid out of the nipple, minimizing leaking during feeding and transport. Make sure the nipple remains inside the cover nub during this process so no leaks occur through the nipple.
    4. Keeping the cover on, turn the bottle fully upright before removing cover.
    5. If storing or transporting a filled bottle, keep the bottle upright.

    Things to check:
    • Nipple's tip remains snugly inserted into the nub inside bottle cover.
    • Twist On Cap is tightly screwed on to bottle.
    • Petal vent and other parts are completely dry before use so that moisture does not interfere with the proper seal. Petal disc is placed correctly such that the circumference of the Petal disc should be flush against the Twist On Cap with a raised pocket at the center of the disc.
